Global presentation

The Master in Financial Markets is a full-time, entirely taught in english program Toulouse University Graduate School of Management (IAE Toulouse). The different courses emphasize the links between finance theory and financial practice and activities. Topics are chosen for their relevance to finance in close consultation with a panel of advisers from leading financial institutions. This panel helps ensure that the choice and content of courses match the needs of employers.

To ease integration and success in their future jobs, students also benefit from :

  •  A dedicated trading room equipped with a trading platform (GL-Trade), as well as other softwares for the courses (SAS, SAP, Business Objects,…).
  • An annual job fair.
  • An internship database allowing students to find offers from partner companies and see internships offered in previous years.
  • The opportunity to take a gap year between the first and second years of the Master. This break allows students to undertake long term internships (for 9-17 months), and enrich their work experience.

Moreover, students must write a short research thesis (UE 6) which may (but does not have to) form the starting point for a doctoral dissertation. Access to the doctoral programme depends on successful completion of the research courses and validation of the doctoral project by a supervising professor.

Professional Experience and internship

In order to obtain your Master 2, you must validate a professional experience of at least 6 months that can take the form of an internship or a job contract. You must also write a report to analyze your professional responsibilities and present your contributions.
